Elizabeth Craft and Sarah Fain are American screenwriters and television producers, most of whom work together as partners. They also wrote two young adult fiction novels together.

Craft graduated from Columbia College in 1993. Craft is married to producer Adam Fierro and is the brother of the author Gretchen Rubin.

Angel

Craft and Fain joined Mutant Enemy Productions in 2002, during the fourth season of Joss Whedon's Angel . They wrote 8 episodes of season 4 and 5 and served as editors of the show's executive story during the fifth season.

Shield

After Angel went off in 2004, Craft and Fain joined the Shield staff as co-producer of the fourth season of the event. They eventually became the fifth producer producer, and oversaw the sixth season, also wrote several episodes during this time.

Female Women's Killing Club

In 2007, Craft and Fain created the Women's Murder Club , a procedural police drama produced by 20th Century Fox Television and aired on ABC. The show aired on October 12, 2007 and has Craft and Fain also serving as its executive producer. After producing the first ten episodes, the show went on hiatus due to the 2007-2008 Writers Guild strike, and Craft and Fain was later fired from the project. Therefore they are not involved in the last three episodes of Women's Murder Club .

Doll House

In 2008, Craft and Fain went back to work with Joss Whedon on his new and upcoming series of Dollhouse as showrunners. The show, produced by 20th Century Fox Television, got thirteen episode commitments by Fox and began airing there in February 2009 running for two seasons.

Lying To Me

When the Dollhouse Cancellation was announced, Fox moved the Craft and Fain to the author's staff of the new TV series Lie to Me, which shocked Joss Whedon fans. Craft and Fain was under contract for Fox, not Whedon, and they explained that it was a decision by their employer where they did not talk much.

Secret Circle

Craft and Fain in 2010 developed the series with Kevin Williamson for The CW based on The Secret Circle's trilogy by L. J. Smith. Screenwriter Andrew Miller writes his pilot. The Secret Circle follows a 16-year-old girl named Cassie, who moved to New Salem and enrolled in high school there but soon found that she and the other disciples were magicians.

Novel

The duo has written two novels, Bass Ackwards and Belly Up and its sequel Footfree and Fancyloose. They follow 9 months in the lives of four teenagers best friends, Harper, Becca, Kate, and Sophie.
