Friendship with other actors

William Daniels

When Begley was a kid, his future was. Elsewhere leading the series', William Daniels, met Begley Jr's father, Begley Sr., when both worked on live television. At the moment Begley Jr. growing up, he's already a fan of his mentor's job, before he'll work with Daniels at St. Elsewhere , where the two have wonderful chemistry off the screen, together, for six seasons. Daniels, himself, on the show, was a moody Irishman like Ed Sr., though much more fostering a father figure - proved so rich, that the role was even beyond the expectations of the writers. Begley Jr. said of the future of his head of TV surgery, "I am a big fan of Bill Daniels I have seen it on Two for the Road I have seen it in The Graduate, and in Parallax View He is an actor I know, He played this 'Type A' personality quite effectively but (in real life) he was the sweetest man in the world. In the 1960s Bonnie had left acting to take on a more important role... mother to Michael's son and Robert. "He also added:" He is an actor who I think of the world I have no delusions about how my character becomes.I ride a coattails Bill Daniels... the kind Mutt and Jeff routine Dr. Craig looks up and berate a doctor of 6 feet 4, Victor Ehrlich, so I owe all my success to Bill Daniels. "When the series was canceled, the two still remain friends to this day, life is not too far from each other. In 2002, Daniels, Begley Jr., along with the rest of the surviving exiles. Elsewhere players, the late Stephen Furst and Eric Laneuville all appeared on an episode of Scrubs , in the pioneers of the previous show (mentioned).

Norman Lloyd

Before St. Elsewhere, in the early 1980s, a struggling and unknown Begley met Norman Lloyd, who became his mentor, while Lloyd directed an episode of Tales of the Unexpected . Both became friends. Begley says she enjoys working with the man, who, in turn, respects her more. In a 2014 interview with Jimmy Falcon of Cloverleaf Radio, he said about working with Lloyd, for all six seasons at St. Elsewhere, and see her, after the series ends:

I not only enjoy working with him, but I see him, quite regularly, I just had dinner with him, 4 nights ago. We had dinner together at Sarah Nichols's house, her neighbor and my friend. We had a wonderful and nostalgic time - he can not be trusted. He will be 100 years old, this year, and still very active, going around on his own. He is a force of nature, so Norman Lloyd is someone I idolize. When I was younger, wow James Dean was great and this was one and it was. Now look at Janis Joplin, a very nice voice and Jim Morrison, those people leave us so young, as my point of view has changed somewhere, in the late 1970s and early 1980s, by saying, 'No, You idolized Jimmy Stewart, Gloria Swanson. 'People who have family and happiness and long economic life. You know, Norman Lloyd, he's not much older than me, when I do 'St. Elsewhere, 'and I'm leaving' This is my rolemodel, now, people have a long, happy life and continue to be creative. 'It is my rolemodel, not the one who left us, so early and I am sorry they did it, I do not mean to belittle it, but, my rolemodel is changing from people who have a tremendous creativity and short life spurt, but for people that goes a long way, they became my rolemodel at some point in my early 30s really.

Also, on November 9, 2014, along with the former St. Elsewhere co-star, esp. Begley, everyone attends Lloyd's 100th birthday in Los Angeles. Begley says, "I work with Norman Lloyd the actor, and Norman Lloyd the director, and nobody gives me better information about the art of storytelling than that talented man he is a constant inspiration and my eternal friend."
