smoke smoke airflow works , in Europe, usually protected by passive fire protection facilities, subject to fire testing (usually for NBN EN 1366-8) and list and use and compliance. It is used to remove smoke from buildings, ships or offshore structures to allow for emergency evacuation as well as increase fire extinguishers. In North America, refractory gas channels can be used for exhaust smoke purposes, but it is more common to use air ducts back to work, where no fire testing or list that is used to qualify requires a working channel for this use. Evidence of this North American practice can be found in Canada's National Building Code of 2010, 3.2.8.8. Mechanical Exhaust System, and Sections 909.16.2 and 910 of the International Building Code 2015.

Building materials
Similar to air pressure air ducts, exhaust fumes can be built using:
- plain metal sheets with external fireproofing treatment; or
- owned channels that are inherently fire resistant; or
- strong refractory materials, such as calcium silicate.
The main difference between air pressure and exhaust fumes is that one presses an area, while the other reduces the pressure through exhausting smoke.
Some exhaust fumes require a non-fireproof air duct if smoke is not expected at high temperatures.

Market
The exhaust gas exhaust system for land-based use is found in most industrialized countries. In North America, the primary purpose is to comply with building codes. Fat ducting is closely related and highly regulated in North America as well; Its main purpose is the removal of oil-containing vapors from commercial cooking operations, as opposed to exhaust fumes from accidental building fires.
Requirements
