Isterband (Sweden: "lard-strip") is a coarse, coarse-grained coarse sausage from Sweden. It's made of pork, barley and potatoes. There are many types of isterband in Swedish cuisine, such as "smÃÆ'  ¥ lÃÆ'¤ndska isterband" from SmÃÆ'  ¥ land area, "syrliga isterband" with a little sour taste, and "lÃÆ'¤ttisterband" with low calorie content. Isterband is often served along with dill potatoes and pickled beets.
